The need to have a product delivered to your house has always been there, but nowadays it has reached its peak, and this is possible without compromising.  One of the core values of the company is, in fact, to always maintain high quality standards with the less environmental impact possible.  

We had the chance to interview the founder and CEO of this brilliant company, Stefano Manili, 49 years old, just moved from Rome to Milan less than a year ago. He has worked as a consultant for over 20 years before taking a leap into a new business project with CosaPorto.

Interview with Founder and CEO Stefano Manili

The story of CosaPorto begins in Rome back in 2017, from a personal need, which was to be able to have, in a fast and stress-free way, something beautiful, good, and refined to bring to a friend’s house for a special dinner.

“Cosa Porto?” (What can I bring?) is the questions that we all ask ourselves when invited to a dinner, an anniversary, a birthday. We always want the best for our special occasions, but too often this desire is crushed by a reality overloaded with work and commitments, in traffic jam delays, which relegates the choice and purchase of the right gift to the spare time.

Q: What are the plans to increase your sustainability level? Can something still be done?

We can and should always do more. For the near future, we have many new initiatives in mind, such as monitoring the environmental impact of deliveries and implementing environmental reforestation projects to offset emissions.

Q: How did you have the idea of ​​opening Cosaporto? What does it mean to be a Quality-Delivery?

Q: How do you manage to ensure sustainability in your field?

 

We have sustainability issues at heart, from both an environmental and a social point of view. We try to have the least possible impact on the environment, in fact our employees make deliveries on electric vehicles and we have made agreements with urban smart mobility operators who use electric scooters and cars.

Q: What are the main challenges you find yourself facing to ensure a high level of sustainability?

The choice of qualified suppliers who use vehicles with low environmental impact has an important cost for our budget, but it is a strategic choice that we believe can be winning, from many points of view, for us and our society, now and in the future.

Q: How do you communicate your commitments to your customers? Is sustainability a value taken into consideration by your customers as a fundamental factor or do you believe that customer’s choices are driven by something else?

Since early 2020, we have created a new category of products/shops, called "CHARITY", to gather all the charities we collaborate with, and to give customers the possibility to combine a small donation with the purchase. The Delivery Charity Dinner organized with the Fondazione Rava, Banco Alimentare, Fondazione Veronesi, Associazione Vidas, were a great success; just like the fundraising carried out in October, for the pink month of scientific research, with Fondazione Veronesi and many of our partner shops.

Our customers care about quality, but also about how things are done: ethical choices in the creation of products and in the management of deliveries are always rewarded. This is why we have coined a new slogan: "Cosaporto: Quality is (and does) good!"  which perfectly sums up the concepts of goodness and solidarity that we want to represent.
